yeah and it’s a bit of a shame people don’t mention that much when discussing his relationship with Sugu? she loved her brother so much she trained enough to get a place in the nationals so he wouldn’t have to do something he hated. she’s just a really great sister and a sweet person in general so it’s kind of lame people overlook that to go “lolz incest”

and then she played video games (which she hated) just to try and understand her brother more and to be able to reconnect with him since they were BEST FRIENDS when they were little. kirito planted a bed of salvia for sugu when they were little because she loved to eat the nectar from the flowers. sugu mentions she had unreasonable demands when as a kid but kirito would cater to them anyway

AND SEEing as their dad was usually stateside and their mom worked a lot it’s not a surprise they were best friends because they only had each other. and then for kirito to find out he’s adopted and this little sister he spoiled and takes care of isn’t actually his sister JUSSSTTTttt
