“I wonder what would the series be like if Reki (the series’ author) managed to submit his short story of SAO and won the Dengeki Bunko contest. [I bet the entire story would be told differently. It would be set in the same Aincrad and all but I think there could be more world building and have the characters introduced differently. And then after Aincrad, the rest of the series would be set in the real world with the drama focusing on the players reuniting with each other.]
