I always feel like to punching a hole through someone’s head whenever I hear SAO being called a “.hack// rip-off”, [especially because 1.) it’s solely because of the “trapped-in-a-game” setting, something that’s been used to death, and 2.) they’re cherry-picking and completely ignoring several other anime that have the same MMORPG/RPG-like game world setting.]”
