Seeing a character like Sinon in SAO is really important to me.

It’s really great that we have a character who is overcoming a traumatic event and that her coping tactics are not harmful to others or make her a distant, unemotional character who is jaded about humanity. It makes me really happy to see someone with mental illness actually seem adventurous and this epic heroine instead of this brooding child who uses it as an excuse to be an asshole.

Of course I could expand on this much more, but for right now that’s all i wanted to say.
