So, guesses on the setting of the new SAO movie? I imagine it’ll be Alfheim again as that gives the greatest chance for the full cast and/or new stories, but I really would love a return to Aincrad.
I was expecting them to cover the Sisters’ Prayer side story considering SAOII ended with the Mother’s Rosario arc, but considering it says it’s a “brand new story” it’ll most likely be in Alfheim, like you said. I have a hard time seeing Aincrad as the movie setting since they’ll probably want to include as many characters as possible, especially considering Sinon’s addition in season 2.
My guess would be a quest in Alfheim involving most of the current SAO gang, in a fashion similar to Caliber and the Extra Edition underwater quest? At this point I’ll be satisfied with anything. I just really hope this movie means a Season 3 announcement like Extra Edition was for Season 2.
