From what I've gathered about Kirito from your blog (and inspired by some recent experiences) I imagine him as having been kind of forced into badassery by sheer awkwardness. Like, rather than find a group to fight a boss or do a dungeon run with, he'll work his butt off till he can solo the thing in order to avoid having to talk to and deal with other players.

…That is in fact exactly like him.
