Kibaou was one of the most vocal anti-beta tester members of the first clearing group, and used by Diabel to trap kirito. He formed the Aincrad Liberation force (army) which was a front line guild before the 25th floor boss fight. His guild and MMO Today merged afterwards, leading to the events of the Gleam Eyes boss fight and his trapping Thinker in the Black Iron Castle labyrinth.

He’s responsible or tied into so many of the major events in the Aincrad period, but completely disappears afterwards. It would have been interesting to see him as some sort of antagonist for the group after Aincrad, as he never did like Kirito.
