Commoners in Underworld have no family name. Eugeo’s father Orik is at least mentioned in the anime.
Eugeo has a family that he left behind in Rulid. One that actually was pretty dependent on his income as a wood cutter. His almost zero hesitation over it to leave Rulid is mentioned in this period in the novel.
