camomilafil:

One of my favorite SAO headcanons is that Agil ends up serving as somewhat of a surrogate guardian/counselor figure for most of the girls, since they’re, well… all pretty young, come from troubled, neglectful, or currently distant families, and his bar is the SAO gang’s main hub in real life.

Sinon one day tells Agil about how some girls gave her some trouble at school that day and he just cracks his knuckles and asks for names. She laughs and knows he isn’t serious, but that cheers her up a bit regardless.

Silica asks him for directions a lot since she comes from rural regions and Tokyo is way more crowded and complicated to navigate. She occasionally bothers him about English homework when they’re both online in ALO, and he doesn’t mind. It’s always nice to be able to brag about his bilingual skills.

Lisbeth occasionally working part-time at his bar once she turns 18, all the extra money going into her college funds. Working in a store again reminds her of her parents’ old shop, and Agil teaches her how to make one mean black tea, and some… harder drinks as well (let’s not forget this guy let her have alcohol in the original novels).

And there’s Asuna, much more used to Agil than the other girls, knowing him as far back as their time in Aincrad; her dates with Kirito too, only helped bringing them closer. But she wouldn’t talk to him just when Kirito was around - actually, her solo visits to Dicey’s Cafe were far from isolated incidents - and the occasional slip to the downtown bar in free days, whether to visit Lis on her shift or have that as her one safe place from home in real life was pretty common.
